Would like to have recorded a better vocal track for parts of this, but I can't get it right and the acoustic environment I did it in is no longer accessible to me, and I really like and want to keep parts of the original vocal recording. I gave it some thought and worked on the mix for awhile and decided I liked how it sounded more than my alternate takes, even though it's rough. I hope you agree. Thanks for listening to my album!
lyrics
sit down and eat dinner
force down the words in you
you'll never go home again
you never were home, i guess
but always sitting at home
what a contradiction
no permission
no priority
if you belonged here
you wouldn't be here, cruelly
dada, dada, daa daa daa da
sit down and eat dinner
wasted all your money
didn't make you better
couldn't change the weather
why won't the bus man stop
why won't the hissing stop?
it's always questions like this
but always sitting at home
what a contradiction
no permission
sit down and eat dinner
force down the words in you
you'll never go home again
sit down and eat dinner
force down the words in you
you'll never go home again
this never was home, i guess.
